GBS Recognized for second year by Boeing
Virginia Beach, VA – January 7, 2011 – The GBS Group, an engineering consulting and technical services firm today announced that it has received the 2010 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. The GBS Group maintained a Gold composite performance rating for each month of the performance period, from October 1, 2009, to September 30, 2010. This is the second consecutive year that The GBS Group earned this honor.
This year, Boeing recognized 558 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The GBS Group is one of only 141 suppliers to receive the Gold level of recognition.

The GBS Group provides engineering management and support of the U.S. Government vessel Sea-Based X-Band Radar (SBX-1) project for Boeing. The GBS team has worked with Boeing's SBX Life Cycle Engineering Team with a commitment to superior engineering support at the most cost effective price. The GBS Group has provided sound marine engineering and guidance to the Boeing SBX team in support of this valuable asset since the vessel's inception in 2002.
