Represents Crane Monitoring System Line of Products for AADI/MIPEG
Houston, Texas – June 30, 2010 – The GBS Group, an engineering consulting and technical services firm, is proud to announce the addition of Tom Rogan, a 10-year veteran in the Mipeg sales and service arena, as Manager – MIPEG Solutions. The GBS Group's Energy and Construction Management division based in Houston, TX will provide sales, service, and technical support for the MIPEG product line in North America.
"In 10 years of working closely with the offshore industry to design and upgrade critical monitoring systems, it's obvious there's still much more work to do," noted Tom. "With GBS' expertise in reliability engineering and diagnostics, we can provide help in making facilities safer and decreasing equipment downtime. Combining the MIPEG branded instrument with our engineering capabilities will allow us to better address all GBS and MIPEG customers' operating and monitoring needs and will assist them in optimizing and controlling their operating and construction costs," he said.
Tom has over 25 years of experience in the areas of technical field service, electronics, telecommunications, and sales, with an emphasis on achieving complete customer satisfaction. Prior to joining GBS, Tom covered the Gulf of Mexico region as the Technical Sales Manager for a systems and sensor manufacturer and was involved with the sales, marketing, and design of both new systems and upgrades for winch monitoring, crane monitoring, bulk tank and various deck equipment systems.
With 10 years of direct sales, training, and technical support for the MIPEG product line, Tom succeeded in making MIPEG crane load monitoring systems the preferred standard for many of the drilling contractors and operators in the Gulf of Mexico. Tom also gained extensive electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, and pneumatic components experience while serving as Field Service Engineer at Eastman Kodak Company. He is a member of the Marine Technology Society (MTS) and also participates in International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and Oilfield Christian Fellowship's Houston chapter events.
